Supreme Court Old Proximity Card Deadline: New Access Control System Launch and Registration Details

The Supreme Court of India has introduced a new Access Control System (ACS) and set a deadline of October 31, 2024 for discontinuing the use of old proximity cards. After this date, the old proximity cards will no longer permit access to the Supreme Court premises. To avoid any inconvenience, all users, including advocates and staff, must register and apply for the new proximity card through the online registration portal.

The new system is designed to improve security and streamline the process of entering the Supreme Court. Users are required to follow these simple steps to switch to the new access control system:

  1. Visit the Registration Portal: Users need to visit the Supreme Court’s proximity card portal at http://103.199.213.130:8080/sciservices/ to begin the registration process.
  2. Submit the Online Application: After registering, users can submit their applications online, which will be forwarded to the appropriate verifying authority for review.
  3. Collect the New Card: Once the new proximity card is ready, applicants will be notified to collect it from designated counters at the Supreme Court.

This transition ensures enhanced security measures and ease of access for everyone entering the court premises. Many advocates, registry staff, and agency members have obtained their new proximity cards, but some stakeholders have yet to do so. With the deadline fast approaching, it’s important for those who have not yet registered to apply for the new proximity card immediately.

If you experience any technical difficulties during the registration process, the Supreme Court provides a help desk service, available from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all working days. You can contact the help desk at 011-23116565 or 011-23116566.

Don’t delay your registration—complete the process now to avoid any disruptions after October 31, 2024.
