Electronic mail (email) services, has emerged to be one of the main modes of communication, both professionally and for personal use, in the last decade. With the increase in the use of such services, the need of adapting to these services has also become necessary. Not only is email a great way to communicate for consumers, but businesses use email every day to reach new, existing, and future customers. It triumphs over social by being able to deliver private, transactional messages, which result in being able to help increase customer retention, and a larger profit margin.
The services that the service provider, provides to users are subject to the following Terms of Use:
ELIGIBILITY
For being eligible for the services, the user must be 13 years of age or above. And all information, regarding the user, provided to them must not be false.
NATURE OF SERVICES
The services provided by them, is purely for the purpose of communication and everything provided will be on an “as is and as available” basis. They also have the right to alter, modify, suspend, or discontinue any service.
INDEMNITY
Any losses that occurred to the user, due to any services, directly or indirectly will not be liable by the service provider.
PRIVACY
The need for a strict code of privacy is a very important aspect of the services provided. The service provider does not by any way have the right to view any content of the mails, but if any mail has been reported as violating any policy or has prohibited material in its content, can be reviewed by them.
The user should always use caution when giving out any personally identifiable information about themselves or their children in any services. Service providers do not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in any communication services and, therefore, they specifically disclaim any liability with regard to the communication services and any actions resulting from your participation in any communication services.
PROHIBITED CONTENT
Prohibited content means any mail which has the below mention content in its crux:
- Pyramid Schemes
- Chain Letters
- Defames any person
- Abuse of minor
- IP violation (copyright, trademark)
- Trojan horse, Corrupted Files
- Unauthorised Ads/ offers
- False Identity
Including the above mentioned prohibited content, the service provider also has some rights of termination of services, if the user is trying to or already has resold his services to any other third party.
ADVERTISEMENTS
As consideration for using the Service, users agree and understand that the service provider will display ads and other information adjacent to and related to the content of the user’s email. Gmail serves relevant ads using a completely automated process that enables them to effectively target dynamically changing content, such as email. No human will read the content of the user’s email in order to target such advertisements or other information without their consent, and no email content or other personally identifiable information will be provided to advertisers as part of the Service.
DEALINGS WITH THIRD PARTIES
The Service may also include access to products and services of independent third parties either directly or via links to sites operated by such third parties. Where these products and services of third parties form part of the Service, they will endeavour but are not obliged to, indicate that these products and services are provided by third parties. In all cases, user’s correspondence or business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, other parties found on or through the Service (including without limitation providers of products and services, advertisers and other users of the Service), including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between User and such third party, even where it is in relation to any products or services that are co-branded with them which may include their trademarks.
TERMINATION OF SERVICES
Termination of services can be done either by the User or by the service provider, but the service provider can only terminate the services only when the user is violating any kind of policy or has been reported by any other receiver of such email. The termination can be done with or without any prior notice.
