Are you a Library and Information Science student or a fresh graduate eager to dive into the world of Law Librarianship and legal research? If so, the Supreme Court Judges Library has an exciting opportunity for you!
This internship program is designed to offer real-world experience in a prestigious legal library that supports Supreme Court Judges.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS/MLIS).
- Recent BLIS or MLIS graduates are also eligible to apply.
Internship Duration
The internship lasts a minimum of four weeks. Based on performance, the duration may be extended.
Location
Interns will work at the Supreme Court Judges Library, located in the A Block, Additional Building Complex, Supreme Court of India.
Duties and Learning Opportunities
Interns will be exposed to all sections of the Supreme Court Judges Library. They will have hands-on experience in:
- Legal search using in-house library databases and subscribed legal databases.
- Assisting with special projects in the library.
The internship runs from Monday to Saturday. Though the internship is non-stipendiary, successful interns will receive a Certificate of Completion.
