Apply Now: Internship Opportunities for Law Students at the Allahabad High Court

The High Court of Judicature at Allahabad is excited to announce internship opportunities for law students at its locations in Prayagraj and Lucknow. This is a fantastic chance for students to gain practical experience in the legal field while working closely with esteemed judicial professionals.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Education: Students must be enrolled in a five-year law degree program recognized by the Bar Council of India.
    • Candidates in the 4th or 5th year of the five-year program or 2nd or 3rd year of a three-year program are eligible.
    • Students who have completed their sixth semester (five-year course) or first year (three-year course) may also apply if they have a satisfactory academic record.
  2. Experience: Applicants should have completed at least two prior internships of no less than 30 days (4 weeks) each, with a lawyer, law firm, or court.
  3. Skills: Basic computer skills, proficiency in legal research, and familiarity with MS Office applications are necessary.

How to Apply

Interested candidates can apply through the online application form Available Here. Applications should be submitted three months prior to the desired start date of the internship.

Required Documents:

  • Marksheet for each semester of the first three years of the law course.
  • A forwarding letter from the Head of Department or Registrar mentioning the proposed internship period and area of interest.
  • Certificates of previous internships.
  • Current student ID card.

Upon submitting the application, candidates will receive a unique Application ID for future reference. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a video conference interview.

Internship Conditions

  • The minimum duration of the internship is four weeks, extendable to six weeks based on performance.
  • Interns must maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards, including dress code.
  • The internship is non-remunerative, so candidates should arrange their own accommodations and expenses.
