The rise of quick, on-demand communications is a result of more people working remotely, and the internationalisation of enterprises, major technological advancements have radically changed how and where we conduct business. Building and maintaining quality relationships with partners, suppliers, internal teams, investors, and customers are critical for modern and innovative organisations to expand and globalise. Video conferencing boosts productivity saves time, reduces travel expenses, and fosters overall collaboration. The advantage of video conferencing is that it allows you to make use of all of these advantages without having to travel for face-to-face communication regularly.
With the emerging trend of work from home, the need to be familiar with the terms of services of the meeting application is more than necessary, the most widely used applications after the Post COVID era, are Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Meet, and Amazon Chime. This article deals with the general Terms of Services of the Cisco WebEx.
SERVICES PROVIDED AND CHANGES IN THEM
The services provided by Webex are provided on a subscription basis, and this involves a monetary consideration as any other agreement, but the main aspect of any service provided is its upgrade, in the long run, the agreement between the subscriber and the service provider has a provision which for an upgrade in the service provided.
Webex has the duty to provide services that are updated to the best possible technology available. They provide the services with the provision to expand the services to the best of possibility without any extra charges to the existing subscribers.
BETA SERVICES
The provision of Beta services is to be provided by Webex, for the benefit of both the subscriber as well as Webex, because beta services are test application services provided for the user so that they can test it. As well as the evaluation helps the developers to come up with some user friendly and needed upgrades. The User by entering into the agreement having the provision for such test waives the right to dispute on the services provided by Webex through Beta services.
PAYMENT
The users of Webex have the duty to pay all the subscription charges, within the time frame given, and if not so, Webex has the right to levy 1.5% interest on the user or the highest rate applicable. The notice for the payment will be made 15 days before the expiry of the subscription.
Webex reserves the right to suspend the services provided for at least 10 days if there is no subscription fee paid by the user.
PRIVACY
Webex, under its privacy policy, is a passive conduit and does not reserve the right to use any kind of personal data of the user for their benefit of distributing the data. But reserve the right to use the data for the services that are provided.
COMMUNICATION
The users who subscribed to the services also have services related to communication which he uses during the course of his interface with Webex. Even though Webex has the right to obtain data to increase the quality of services provided, but they have no right to access the communication happening between the users during the time they use the service.
TERMINATION OF SERVICES
The right to terminate the services is available to both the subscriber and Webex, the subscriber can terminate the services of Webex without any notice provided to them.
The right to terminate the services also is granted to Webex, on the grounds that any of the provisions of the agreement are been abided by the subscriber. Webex can also terminate services on various grounds concerning the payment of fees for the services, any delay in payment leads to the implied notice to Webex that the services are no longer necessary which in turn leads to discontinuation of services by Webex.
